The Climbing Room - The Big Cover Up

Although the Climbing Room feels grand on the inside - with its interior surfaces angling skyward toward the slot roof light (thank you IQ Glass UK) - it appears unobtrusive within the local context. Thanks to Kebony and Exterior Solutions for the hashtag#charredaccoya timber cladding, it is an attractive addition to the garden-scape. This smart finish, additionally treated with a fire retardant due to its close proximity to the boundaries, is aesthetically pleasing, durable and low maintenance. Internally a skimmed plasterboard finish articulates the obtuse angles of the interior volume. Hence the composition is both airtight and water tight and 'breathes' through a push-pull MVHR system designed and specified by Alison Phelan of Partel. 😀
